Love thy Lord thy God

Mathew 22: 35-40. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him,saying,36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37. Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. 40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Luke 10: 25- 37. 25: And, behold a certain lawyer stood up, and tempt him, saying,Master, what shall I do to enherit eternal life? 26.He said unto him,What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27. And he answering said, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL THY MIND; AND THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. 28. And he said unto him, Thou has answered right;this do and thou shalt live. 29.But he , willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30. And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him,and and departed, leaving him half dead. Scripture reading was taken from the book of Joshua 1:5,7&8(KJV).

5. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
7. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee; turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

A call for consecration

Scripture reading: Romans 12 v 1-3 and 6-8 (New International Version).
1. And so, dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy - the kind he can accept. When you think of what he has done for you,is this too much to ask?
2. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.
3. As God's messenger I give each of you God's warning: Be honest in your estimate of your selves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you.
6. God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well.So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, then prophesy, whenever you can as often as your faith is strong enough to receive a message from God.
If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well.If you are a teacher,do a good job of teaching.
8. If you are a preacher, see to it that your sermons are strong and helpful. If God has given you money,be generous in helping others with it.If God has given you administrative ability and put you in charge of the work of others, take the responsibility seriously. Those who offer comfort to the sorrowing should do so with Christian cheer.
